The Raging One

Oh, my goodness, I can’t express how happy I am to hold The Raging One in my hands again.
This was the first of my book-children that I sent out into the world many, many years ago. And
while I adore the cover it bore for the longest time and love the people who created it for me, I
knew I needed to embrace this book’s rebirth with something new…something that I crafted
myself. To hold the hardbound in my hands…I may be an author, but there are no words.

There were many tweaks that had to happen, as this was my first time using real graphics toolsto put together something like this. And understanding how the templates work, since they aresized for the content the physical covers will embrace. I chose what is called “case laminate” forthe hardbound. Why? Because I have always hated paper covers over plain, cloth boundbooks…especially with the ease they could be torn or lost. Even if it’s simple elegance, it’s stillelegance that should be preserved. Besides, the design speaks to the image being part of thecover, not a flimsy overlay.

I can’t wait for others to be able to see…to feel…this book in their hands on January 6th!
